Do-Re-Mi Volunteer Performance Requirements and Policies

General Expectations
All volunteers representing Do-Re-Mi are expected to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and respect when performing at senior facilities. The following guidelines must be followed by all performers and accompanying adults.

Performance Requirements

  • Punctuality: Performers must arrive on time and adhere strictly to the assigned performance schedule. Late arrivals may disrupt the event and are strongly discouraged.

  • Attire: All performers must wear recital attire appropriate for a public musical performance.

  • Conduct: No food or beverages are allowed in the performance area.

  • Supervision: Performers under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times during the performance, including arrival and departure.

  • Facility Boundaries: Volunteers and accompanying adults must remain in the designated performance area and are not permitted to explore or access other areas of the senior facility without explicit permission from facility staff.

  • Liability: Parents/guardians are responsible for the actions of the performer and for any damage resulting from non-compliance with facility rules.

  • Health and Safety: Volunteers must follow any additional health and safety protocols required by the facility, including but not limited to masking, hand hygiene, and vaccination requirements.

  • Respect and Inclusivity: Volunteers are expected to interact respectfully with residents, staff, and fellow performers, and should be mindful of the diverse needs and conditions of the senior community.

  • Resident Attendance: Performances will proceed as scheduled regardless of the number of residents in attendance. Volunteers are expected to perform with equal enthusiasm for any audience size.

  • Communication: In the event of a delay, illness, or emergency that prevents a volunteer from attending a scheduled performance, timely notice must be given to Do-Re-Mi staff as soon as possible.

Privacy and Media Policy

  • Information Use: Personal information collected through Do-Re-Mi’s application form is used solely for volunteer evaluation and performance coordination. This information will not be shared with third parties or used for any other purpose.

  • Photography and Videography: Photos and videos may be taken during the performance provided they do not interfere with the performance or disrupt the audience's experience.

  • Consent Requirement: Since senior facilities are private environments, permission must be obtained from individuals (or their legal representatives) before including them in any photos or videos.

  • Media Sharing: Performers and/or their guardians may choose to share performance media (photos/videos) with Do-Re-Mi. Submission is voluntary, and shared media may be posted on Do-Re-Mi’s website and/or official social media accounts with appropriate credit.
