Special Performance from Flora Wu Music Studio

On December 7, Do-Re-Mi presented a special piano concert at The Residence at Bala Cynwyd, featuring students from my piano teacher, Ms. Ye's studio. It was a meaningful afternoon that highlighted both musical growth and community connection.

All of the performers—Kai Zheng, Grace Lu, Evan Wu, Annabelle Kuster, Owen Kuster, Cyndi Zhi, and Michelle Han—study with Ms. Ye, and this concert was a wonderful opportunity for them to share what they have been learning with a live audience. The program included a wide range of pieces by composers such as Bach, Mozart, Clementi, Chopin, and Cyril Scott, along with traditional and contemporary works like Little Bamboo Raft and Colorful Clouds Chasing the Moon. This variety allowed residents to enjoy different styles, moods, and musical eras throughout the concert.

Residents listened attentively and shared kind feedback after the performance, telling us how much they enjoyed the music and appreciated hearing a full program performed by dedicated young pianists.

We are incredibly grateful to Ms. Ye for her guidance and support of her students, and we are proud of our volunteers for their hard work, commitment, and willingness to share music with the community. Thank you as well to the staff at The Residence at Bala Cynwyd—especially Ms. Jackson—for hosting us, and to the residents for being such a warm and welcoming audience.
