National Assisted Living Week

On September 7th this Sunday, Do-Re-Mi was honored to celebrate National Assisted Living Week with a special performance at The Residence at Bala Cynwyd! Our talented young musicians shared a program filled with both classical masterpieces and modern favorites, bringing joy and music to the residents.

The program included works by Bach, Chopin, Tchaikovsky, and Vivaldi, alongside Joe Hisaishi’s magical Howl’s Moving Castle. Performers Bowen Song, Vivien Zhang, Clara Tremblay, Sophie Teo, and Chengxin “Cyndi” Zhi each brought energy, heart, and artistry to their performances.

We received many compliments from senior residents after the performance telling us how wonderful we sounded!

We are so proud of our volunteers—not only for their musical talent, but for the way they brighten lives through their performances. Thank you to the facility staff for hosting us, to the families for their support, and most of all, to our young musicians for making this National Assisted Living Week extra special.
